Page history last edited by elysium.roleplay@... 16 years ago

The Elysium is like a world of its own. It runs a certain way and often defies the normal laws of the known world. It exists between realities and cannot be found with any means of technology, magic, or otherwise. Its pilot, the nameless Captain, is a mysterious human-like person who seems to flit around the ship in an almost magical manner. Not much is known about the ship, less is known about him.

How To Get There

Getting there is rather strange. The Captain sends people invitations, inviting them to paradise. What the invitation actually says varies between people, but for everyone, it's very enticing. Then the muses must sign a contract that looks normal enough, but it's not really like it looks. In reality, the contract is essentially signing away the muses' freedom to return back to their homeworlds, their magic, their weapons, essentially their lives. Few seem to notice that in the fine print.

A few examples of what invitations seemed like:

  • Yagami Light (Death Note) was told that he could finally find the paradise that he's always wanted: absolute justice
  • Naruto (Naruto) was promised that he would find Sasuke, while Sasuke was promised ultimate power to defeat Itachi
  • Raenef (Demon Diary) was simply told "Sign Here"
  • Takekura Gen/Musashi (Eyeshield 21) was signed up by the captain of his football team, Hiruma Youichi, and was informed that this was a football camp

You get the idea...

WTF ded charz

Yup, there are characters who died within their series. Some don't remember they died while others do (that would be up to the mun). Dead characters are still offered the invitation but how they get it, we don't know. It just happens and everyone pretty much leaves it at that XD (A good example of this is Maes Hughes of the Fullmetal Alchemist fandom)

You still haven't answered my question! How do they get there?

Simply put, we don't know. Not even the mods know. They just... get there. It just happens! XD

Language Barriers

Characters come from all sorts of worlds, speaking all sorts of languages. But how the hell do they all understand one another? It's quite simple, actually. When the muses get to the ship, which is still some sort of mystery, they're magically able to fully speak the unnamed Elysium language. But sometimes the muse's native language sometimes creeps out, like Japanese honorifics or the like.

Magical Abilities

Simply put, they're gone. Not gone gone, but they are zero'd out like they never existed to begin with. There are magic barriers on the Crete Deck, as well as the Sparta Deck.

What will be taken away?

Abilities which no longer work include transformation abilities, conjuring elements, summoning, floating/flying, reading minds, any psychic abilities, death notes, shinigami abilities, chakra, etc. General rule of thumb: if it's not a normal human ability, it's most likely disabled.

What will be kept?

What will be kept includes genetic mutations or combinations such as being combined with animals (although any magic or special abilities associated with it are included in the dampener rule), two minds without two physical forms or split personalities (Daisuke and Dark Mousy, Akito and Agito, etc. Yu-Gi-Oh! Yami and vassal are considered two different characters). Martial art and other physical abilities (i.e. sports attributes, skill with a certain weapon, etc.) are obviously kept.

Weapons?

Weapons are confiscated upon entry on the ship. Weaponry includes the standard weapons like swords, guns, the like, but also other less common weapons are included. Fans, staves, scythes, magical wands, deathnotes, dice, and other bizarre weaponry are also confiscated. Where they are kept, no one knows.

Cybernetic Weaponry

This is the sort of weaponry that is part of the body. The weapon will be removed and replaced with prosthetics. For example, Vash's arm would be replaced with a prosthetic one and would function like a normal arm.
